At Piedmont Golden Retrievers, our program is rooted in a simple but deeply held belief: exceptional dogs are not just bred—they are thoughtfully raised, carefully developed, and genuinely loved.

We are a small, home-based breeding program dedicated to producing Golden Retrievers of outstanding temperament, health, and versatility. Every dog in our program is first and foremost a member of a family—living inside the home, integrated into daily life, and raised with the same care and attention we would expect for our own companions.

Our approach is intentionally hands-on and highly selective. From birth, each puppy is nurtured in a structured yet loving environment, receiving early neurological stimulation, consistent socialization, and daily interaction. These early experiences are designed to shape confident, adaptable dogs who transition seamlessly into their future homes.

We place a strong emphasis on temperament and trainability, with many of our lines demonstrating the qualities desired in service and therapy work, while also excelling as devoted family companions. Health and longevity are equally prioritized, with extensive genetic screening and thoughtful pairing decisions guiding every breeding.

Unlike large-scale operations, we limit the number of litters we produce (4-5 per year) in order to maintain the highest standard of care—for both our adult dogs and the puppies we raise. Through our Guardian Home Program, our breeding dogs are able to live full, enriched lives in carefully selected homes, ensuring they receive individualized attention while remaining part of our program.

Above all, we are committed to building lasting relationships with the families who trust us with such an important decision. Bringing a puppy into your home is not simply a transaction—it is the beginning of a long-term connection, and one we are honored to be part of.
